Event Summary
The Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities (IAFSC), in collaboration with Arigatou International and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, hosted a high-level thematic workshop. Titled "Faith's imPACT: Promoting Human Fraternity, Empowering Future Generations", the workshop was conducted as part of the 2024 United Nations Civil Society Conference (UNCSC), held in Nairobi, Kenya
The workshop was structured around three foundational pillars: promoting child-centered communities, amplifying youth participation in decision-making, and building resilience against poverty and violence. By prioritizing the voices of the next generation, participants explored how education and intercultural dialogue can promote human dignity. This approach ensures that young people are active partners in shaping a sustainable and just future.
By facilitating interfaith and multi-sectoral dialogue, the event underscored the indispensable role religious actors play in driving global progress. The session concluded with a call for continued collaboration between religious organizations and governments to integrate faith-driven insights into international policy frameworks. Through these efforts, the IAFSC remains dedicated to leveraging human fraternity to build a safer and more prosperous world.
